starting rough

my vy commodore cranks then it keeps cranking for a few seconds then sometimes starts but sometimes stalls and it cranks longer than usual has anyone had the same issue and or know how to fix it

my vy commodore cranks then it keeps cranking for a few seconds then sometimes starts but sometimes stalls and it cranks longer than usual has anyone had the same issue and or know how to fix it

It could be the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator (fpr) is stuffed or the fpr is which is not holding pressure on the rails.

Could also be inlet manifold gaskets leaking into the cylinders.

Try turning the key to reds for 5 secs, not starting the engine. Then turn the key off and then back to reds for another 5 sec to see if it starts faster.
