steering rack vr

My VR statesman steering is perfect , nice and tight no wandering .
Today however I was in the car while itwas turned off and I simply rocked my steering wheel back and forth and could hear a knock .
After grabbing an assistant I got underneath and could identify the sound was located inside the rack tube at the steering box .
Anyone able to comment on whether this is normal . Sounds like gears backlash . Is this adjustable ?
Any help greatly appreciated .

Totally normal, my old steering rack did that, and the reco one I put in over a year ago does it too. I wouldn't stress.
