Picked up a S2 berlina sedan that was too cheap too pass up, however I think I've found the reason why. The entire back seat and carpet has had something spilt that resembles wet aviation gasket and honey.

My options are to pull the seats out and clean the carpet with a wet/dry, or pull it all out to attack with a gerni or replace the carpet replacement be some with it. After any thoughts or options as to the least painful way to approach this.

Take the seats, centre console and carpet out. Cut to release from under dash.

Pressure clean. If no good, fresh carpet.
