Hi, thinking of fitting a genuine holden strut brace to my vz , do they make a big difference or are they cosmetic?

thanks

yep i got one.

I like it.

with the weight i carry around in the back (and the drivers seat) she tended to get a bit of body roll around tight corners and occasionally a front wheel would loose a bit of traction when playing silly buggers coming through small roundabouts.

with the strut brace its alot tighter and makes it ride alot better around corners.

I'm told that for the cost you can get a much better after-market adjustable strut brace. But i'm lazy and would never adjust it anyway, so a holden one was my dealio.

Its the same thing as found in the SS models, so if its good enough for an SS, its good enough for the Storm pano.

For the $50 it costs whack it on and see what ya think

it made a bit of a difference to handling so was worth it + ive painted mine up as im colour coding a few underbonnet bits so it was worth it for the cosmetic side of things as well

do not forget to order the nuts when you get the strutbrace as they are sold seperatley :D

as opposed to aftermarket strutbraces im not sure if they utilise the pre exisiting bolts that are sticking out of the strut towers so u may have to get rid of them and then drill through ur strut towers to attach the aftermarket strut brace

Thanks guys will only fit a genuine brace as you said the bolts are already there in the strut tower so there is no drilling holes which i dont like doing on any part of the car.

Cheers

Get it,
As they stop of flex/body roll in the front of the car, when turning or similar.
Something to do with the firewall not being (metal) that strong.

Thats why they started to put them on.
