Supercharger dropped bearings

Hi all,

Looking at buying a blown VF SS. I was on the phone to the owner and he said he previously bought it with a magnuson heartbeat supercharger on it.

The blower failed, dropped bearings into the engine apparently. Taken to performance workshop, they chose not to strip the engine but put another blower on it (thats all he said they did) got retuned, made 550kw (750hp ish) on e85 and has been like that for a year.

Do you think its still worth buying?

Then why are they selling it you have to ask yourself ?

It does sound like its had the A___ thrashed out of it to drop bearings !!!

Possibly the running gear is also knacked, with some of these type of cars being used, abused & disposed of,
Buyer BE AWARE !

If you feel like throwing money at it, and hopefully getting some back later,
Thats your call.

Seemed to shift smoothly, which I was cautious about.

They’ll take $60k, which im happy to spend, but might just steer clear, probably another VF for sale with the same stuff just want a car before christmas
