1966 HR Holden, 1992 VP Commodore
the badge inside my car says rts "radial tuned suspension"
i have a 1992 vp commodore, is it the same as IRS? if not whats the difference?

No, it is not the same.

Stick your head under the car. If the rear axle looks like this:

VH0041.jpg
then it's live axle.

Any different and it's IRS.

Independent Rear

Google those two. Radial tuned suspension means nothing really, they all had that, means its setup to suit radial tires.

Yes, RTS was introduced back in the days of the HZ Holden. It was primarily aimed at steering Holden away from the "Cadillac Boulevard Ride" and towards a more precise, firmer european style. Uprated springs, heavier swaybar and perhaps slightly different wishbone mounting dimensions for improved camber/castor adjustment.

RTS means nothing on a VB - onward Commodore ^_^
