LOL, I don't think the Yanks need any more encouragement.....

Looks like US boots on the ground in Iraq too. Official, not the clandestine stuff they are doing now.

Under US law Special Forces/Operations don't count as 'Boots on the ground', so they could put a **** load there before they had 'Boots on the ground'

If the States did commit, it would plays into Russia's hand of deception, as they're up to something, Lithuania, latvia and Estonia be afraid ....

I personally did the boots on ground crap. Just to get the term understood. The Boots On Ground is about time. When we deploy special pay and time of deployment depend on where are you located. When we went to briefings we were told, as soon you step in, when your boots hit the ground the clock start ticking to you get the special pay (hazardous duty, family separation, foreigner duty, fly pay, etc...).

The media is so f'ed up they heard that term and ran with it. We laugh about it because the term is bullshit.

Same thing when some idiot wants to sound Techie start spewing technical nonsense, just to sound important/smart.

Congress needs to approve an invasion, they are the only ones that can wage war on a country, the Pressie has no say so. What the Pressie can do is to send "Advisers". In lame terms, mercenaries. Special Forces are there for "Training".

When I was in Iraq, it was a contractor galore. They did the shady stuff, we offered them the ride and some escort (wink-wink, nudge-nudge).

If you hear our news, think like a lawyer, is all about terms and definitions, just like a court case. Most of the time they say things, means other. An example is the Islamic State. Legally we cannot invade terrorist unless they are in an official country or nation. That is why we coined the word Islamic State, just to give them some form of legal nationality.

Kudos to this guy
HE IS the mystery gunman credited with taking down three Islamic State leaders in just 10 days.
But it is not known who the Libyan sniper is, if they’re acting alone, or who they are operating under.
What is known is that rumours of an anti-IS sniper are running rife in the new IS “caliphate” of Sirte, sparking panic and fear among terror group members in the Libyan city.
The most recent sniper casualty was Abdullah Hamad Al-Ansari, an IS commander from the southern Libyan city of Obari, who was shot leaving a mosque on January 23.
ISIS sniper: Did mystery gunman just shoot three ISIS leaders?
