T56 oil recommendations

Hi guys. I'm due to change oil in my gearbox. Just wondering what people suggest. Manual says DexIII but was wondering if anything else is better. Just after smooth shifts. Thanks

There is a penrite oil made for the t56 gearbox can't remember what it is tho, go on the website and have a look it's there

Pro gear 70w-75 full syn from penrite

+1 for the penrite oil. You have to be careful with what oil you run as the carbon syncros will die if you don't.

As manual states Dex III is what I'd use. It's what I've got ready to go in once I've got the time. will also be doing the diff with Syntrax 80W140. Both Castrol.

The oil to use is Penrite PRO Gear 70

For the diff use PRO Gear Oil 80W - 140 (no additive required)

Cheers guys. Haven't had the car long and just want to do a full service on it. That way i know what's in it. Already got Castro sport for motor ready to go in. But didn't know what peoples thought were on gearbox. Also cheers to those that mentioned diff as that was next on list. Has a truetrac if that changes your answers at all

Castrol transmax Z is good too, and easier to get hold of. It's a dexIII type synthetic ATF.
