T56 Tremac Gearbox ID

Hey, Holden guys n gals I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand T56 gbox ,the person says it's out of a V6 VX ( I have a VU 5.7 ) but he and I dunno how to confirm if its a T56 he definitely says it's a 6 speed.so my question, is there any ID markings on the gbox that'll let me know before I part with my $$$, thanx peoples..." if its from a v6 then its not a T56, they have a getrag 5 speed, the VZ v6 have a 6 speed but they are a chinese hunk of ****.

yea then it wont fit a V8 and even if it did it would explode.

dunno why he said it was out of a vx v6 then, it wouldnt even bolt up to an ecotec.
