T56 with vs auto memcal

Hey all, in the process of converting my 185i vs auto senator to t56. Ive read the tremec t56 uses reluctor signal through the vss and the vs v8 auto computer reads the reluctor signal unlike the manual computers.

My question to the tuners is if that sounds correct and will i just need the auto fault codes turned off on my current memcal and speedo recalibrated?

if it's series 1 or 2 then the computer is auto only, you can turn the auto fault codes off, you may still have issues with stalling, can bump idle up in the tune or adjust the stop screw on the TB, if it's a Series 3 you can just swap the tune for a manual, pcm can run either.

Its a 96 s1 senator. I thought as both the t56 and auto use reluctor signal as long as the inhibitor switch was bridged and auto codes turned off it would run ok?. Can you adjust the speedo calibration on the memcals using auto computer or will a speedo corrector box still be needed?

if it's the same sensor then that's fine, just get the auto MALF codes turned off, if the cluster speedo is out then using a jaycar box on the sensor is the easiest way to fix both as adjusting the pcm ratio wont fix the speedo.
