Running about 25kw over stock, with a fair bit of towing and track work, and look what we have here.

That's whats left of the stock clutch plate.

An exploded clutch would indicate a manufacturing defect or abuse though, this just indicates a weak clutch that's worn out over time.

Yeah my wording wasnt the best on how i meant to say it. The clutch that exploded blew apart the bellhousing, this was from extreme abuse, namely changing gears while doing a burnout

Changing gears while doing a burnout shoudlnt be that much of a problem.. I've seen countless 180sx's/Skylines do it while clicking all the way to fourth.

Mechanic's opininon is that the dual mass flywheel is responsible for most of this ****.
