temp at half way if aircon turned off

hi guys question about my v6 auto vs if i have the aircon on ie thermo fan goes more often , my temp runs at about the first line of the temp gauage cool as a cucumber , but with the aircon turned off temp goes to halfway or a little bit more even when drivein . this freaks me out as it seems a bit to hot to me ? ive replaced the thermastat and the water pump any light on the subject would be good cheers muzza

i think this is normal.. but not 100 percent..

yes, its completely normal. Your thermo fans only cut in at about halfway up the gauge, i think thats also where your thermostat opens (roughly). It can be changed to run the fans lower, but im not sure on the specifics ie. if its run through the ECU/BCM or just straight through an electric thermostat

Mine will go half way in heavy traffic or lights. The fan will kick in then. When on the move its at the first large mark on the temp guage - about 1/4.
