Temp gauge not working

Drove car this morning, temp gauge needle doesn't move from cold. Have replaced thermostat and temp sendor, still not working. Any ideas as to what it could be. Also, check engine light came on this morning.

Drove car this morning, temp gauge needle doesn't move from cold. Have replaced thermostat and temp sendor, still not working. Any ideas as to what it could be. Also, check engine light came on this morning.

Experiencing the same problem. Temp gauge not working, A/C switches off. Ongoing and intermittent problem. Relcutant to replace thermostat and temp gauge. Everything else is fine. New radiator and A/C hoses. Coolant OK. Was doing this before those parts were replaced.
