Ah that makes more sense. That then proves I've never seen a 4 banger LJ in its original guise.

so we sold this lancer wagon a couple years ago, and told the guy if he ever sells it to let us know, as it was a great daily bus.

he emailed us last night, and said its ours for a bottle of johnnie walker blue label. it needs a windscreen and an air freshen(he smoked in it) all he did to it was new tyres and a top radiator hose, and it still gets 600ks to a tank, so we're picking it up on sunday.

i tested the xxrs i had from the e21 on it before we sold it, and i p-chopped it lower(3 years ago going by the image details), as its 4x4 status atm.

Regarding the filler neck/rear cover does it matter if it's 4 door or what?
Stupid question yes but still...
Also, is there new caps available? And new covers that go on the outside? Or it's just the cap?

Yep, she's an LJ 4 banger. 1700cc or thereabouts I think.

Looks pretty good mate. They're HQ SS stickers and bonnet paint outs lol. Not sure what they were trying to achieve there.

Rares do the repro filler caps I think, but any cap from a 70's Holden should fit.

Filler neck-just find a wreckers or something. 4 door/2 door the same. The only different one was the bigger xu-1 tank.

Still not sure what rear cover you mean?

Who knows with the black outs and stickers. How about the spoiler?
Mates uncle has a wrecked LJ. Will see how I go with that. How hard is a lighter to get?
The cap is what pokes out on the rear? No cover over it?
So keen to get it home, strip it, see if I find more rust, talk to an upholster to restitch the seats or try it myself.
I may need to speak to the missus uncle about his mig.. Haha.
Also have to buy a good grinder with 1mm cutting wheels.

Lighter shouldn't be too hard. I've probably got one floating around somewhere that you can have for postage cost if you want.

Yeah, filler cap just pokes out the back. No cover over it.

XU-1 type spoiler fits all LC/LJ/TA
