Unless they can copy immobiliser code/key or steal them only other way is tow truck.

If that paranoid why leave it on street & not in a garage.Other cars much easier targets unless you're in dodgy area lol.

A professional thief may have a chance, your everyday thief unlikely.

Watched a video on youtube of 2 Thieves turning up to a Chev with a modified ecu and a couple tools and attaching it somewhere through the engine bay.. Less then 30 seconds they were driving it away

Thieves, there is no way to stop them that is why we have insurance. Stop stressing, if it happens nothing you can do about it after you do all you can.

Vehicles (cars, boats, trailers, caravans, excavation equipment etc etc) left parked on a street are a much greater risk of being stolen. Precautions such as alarms, wheel locks, imobilisers etc are only deterrents. As already stated, anyone with a tow truck or tilt tray can easily steal a vehicle in as matter of minutes - without too much fuss or noise.

Exactly, I'd more worry that if it is stolen, it gets written off. It would be worse to get the thing back after it's been flogged and whatever else.

Same here, your car does not give the same feeling once its stolen. And Especially if its dinged up

The only half decent way to prevent it being stolen is remove all the wheels....That way someone turns up with a tow truck, a little bit of noise will occur when it'd being dragged onto the flat bed........For the inside, a snake is a good deterant..... silent and deadly :)

Going back a few years on LS1 website a WA member had a really nice VY Senator. Got stolen. Lots had been spent on mods and it's not something I would have thought of, but the car wasn't very old and was on hire purchase. The Finance company wanted full pay out of the loan, including the interest for the full term that was the loan contract. So while there was insurance for the basic car itself, huge dollars was lost in the mods and the interest payout as per loan contract. It was a sad story. If you take out a loan on a car, it would be wise to check the terms for early payout.
