hi was just wondering if anyone knew how to set a thermal fan to kick in just before running temp, around 90 degrees? was interested in knowing cause i have heating probs at the mo

why dont you just fix the overheating problems ???

or if you cant be effed about fixing your heating problems (surely hope not .. as it leads to an absolute plethora of problems from sensors to blown heads)

just turn your air conditioner on .. air con on = thermo fan on at ANY temperature from boiling to just started the car to car is OFF an your runnin the aircon off the battery.

Assuming that you have no problems and you want to replace your standard clutch fan with a thermo fan set-up, the best way to do it is to:

Turn the thermo-switch to the high position. Get the car up to running temperature, then turn the knob until the fan kicks in and then turn it back a touch. This way the car should get up to temp no problem and only kick the fans in when the heat just goes over the optimum running temp mark.
