Heya all,

I've got a budget of about 400 to 500 bucks and wanted to know what sorta (all in one) DVD player + screen to buy...

I've got a VX, so it had double din but one of them would be taken up by my pioneer head unit.

So basically, I need one all in one in dash dvd unit/screen.

Ideas?

i personally would rather get the double din unit... less screwing around and less chance of me breaking the fold out window as is with single din units.

brashimports have some for $890 i think but dunno what the quality is like. Anyone had one of theirs (brashimports) units installed?

I've got a JVC double din setup with the retractable screen. so one din is the DVD/CD player and the other is the screen. Awesome setup! Very very happy, that cost be about $1200 for the setup.

If you are willing to spend a little extra bling you can get either a JVC double din fixed screen unit or a kenwood in the same configuration. The JVC one is $1400 and the Kenny is about 1800rrp, but the margin on those is huge so push and shove with the retailer and you could get it for around the 1500 mark.

Dont be tempted by those cheapies on ebay. They look good and are at the right price, but you would be better off buying locally and buying a good brand with after sales service. it will save you money in the long run!
