Hi all,

Looking at replacing or cleaning my injectors, there are a few different tricks and tips on Youtube, however I have looked into purchasing a small ultrasonic fuel injector cleaner. I came across a product called 'Autool CT-100' which is an ultrasonic fuel injector cleaner which cleans 2 injectors at a time using pulse signals to clean the injectors out. They go for about $200 including shipping on Aliexpress, or $250-280 on eBay. It's also listed on Amazon for around $200-250, but doesn't ship to Australia.

What's everyone's thought on buying a product like this? It's not often that I need to clean injectors however a product like this may be handy in future (ie. for future cars / motorbikes, family & friends injectors etc).

I cannot seem to find any solid product reviews on this product or even a product demo, but there are quite a number of 5-star reviews for the same product (different listings) on Aliexpress and eBay.

This is the product I'm referring to

Ultrasonic injector cleaners work by firing high pressure cleaners through the injector carefully timed against the ultrasonic vibration. The timing, pressure etc changes depending on the injectors spray pattern.

The unit you linked doesn't seem to have any dials for adjustment of pressure/vibration. I think it would work, but wouldn't work near as well as a professional injector clean.

Hope that helps mate

Looks to me like a cheap ultrasonic cleaner dressed up with a pulse power source to cycle the injector.
A couple of things to be wary of. Not all ultrasonic cleaners are equal.
The good ones have circuitry to send variable sound waves of the right levels to drive dirt and grease from the
surface of the object being cleaned. They run around the $1000 mark.
Some of the cheapies just seem to have a buzzer on the bottom of the tank.
You might as well stir their cleaning solution with a spoon.
There's no info on the type of cleaning solution to use in it. Ultrasonics solutions heat up after a while when running.
You wouldn't want to use any type of fuel or volatile solvent in it or it could ignite.

You can get injectors done at any place that specialises in fuel injection for $20 each. I had mine from my bike done and they cleaned them and flow tested them and supplied me with new seals to put them back in and a print out of the flow test for $80 ( only 4 injectors on the bike) so would be $120 for v6 and $160 for v8 so that seems good value. cheaper than buying a $250 cleaner and have to do it all myself.
