I'm continuing to piece back together my jigsaw puzzle project car. It's progressing well. Can't find any bolts to mount the accelerator bracket onto the intake manifold, so it's off to the bolt shop, but I can't even find odd bolts lying around that fit.

Are these metric or imperial? Does anyone know the specific thread, by any chance?

Yeah I thought M6 too - of which I have plenty of brand new bolts at hand (that's what I used for the engine covers amongst other things), however they get tight about half a turn in (it could also mean my threads are not crash hot). If I can't sort it - the tap might have to come out!

I've always wanted one of these for the garage, but not at $220..... might have to grab one of those ones that you posted.... great idea!

I've got one of those thread testers in the garage and its so handy. Though I didn't pay $200 for it. I might have a set of those bolts too, I'll go have a look in the garage later for you

Success!

Tried my M6 bolts again, but they weren't interested in going in at all. So I ran the M6 x 1.0 tap down the threads just to clean them up, and we're back in business...

Again - thanks for the accurate replies, made my life much easier, greatly appreciated.

Will you be sprucing up the throttle body as well?
