i ended up sticking with 18's..... got a set from Tempe Tyres with 245/45/18 Kuhmo Ecsta tyres on them. they look horn  to me anyway... and that's all that matters :D

I can recommend these guys... good prices, and very prompt shipping. Paid for them at 5pm on monday, they got here today at lunch time.

well i am happy so that is ALL that matters....... how would they look like 15's? they look a whole lot bigger than the 16's on my sons VR parked behind it. Besides, they always look better up close than they do in photos.

How much did you spend on the tyres??

the wheels and tyres cost me $1,400 plus $100 to ship them.

The rear tyres on the SS are getting tired..... cost to replace the bastards about $1680  so i am considering spending a little more and getting a tyre and wheel package for about 2 grand and grab some 19's for it.
Anybody had any luck with a decent package around the Hunter area?

I just bought a set of Bridestone Potenzas 19" for my SSV, the guys did a good deal i think, $380 a tyre balanced and fitted, the last Bridegstone's did a great job in all conditions with a fair amount of aggressive driving... got 40kms comfortably, this time with consistent wheel alignment and monitoring tread wear should get 60k i reckon, 2 of the tyres would have made 50 easy..
