the plate from the cross tube to the hitch box on wagon bar has a different angle which hits the bumper bar , sedan hitch box is longer .

The sedan one is lower by a fair bit too and bolt holes are in a different place (I test fitted it)... It does seem like this hitch is about 2cm too high... So is there a v8 specific one??

Diff motor in the same car won't make a tow bar not fit, just a diff car like a wagon and sedan. Just check the part numbers.

Question: do you need to cut into the painted section to fit the bar over the tow bar hitch?? I have only cut out the cut out on the diffuser, I'd have thought that was enough... But if I have to cut into the painted section, so be it.

Have you consulted with a TOW BAR SPECIALIST ? If not - why not !! Good luck.

So I had a hard look at the inside of the bar and brushed it and found this:

Yes, it was caked in dirt, no wonder I couldn't see the stupid thing. But it's fitted!!!

Only thing I cant find is where the grey plug with the earth wire goes for the parking sensors... Any ideas? [Is there no wire for parking sensors because it is one of the fully integrated systems in the Calais?]
