my vy ss s1 doesn't have a traction control switch on it, its permanatly on, is there a way to take it off, like a fuse i can pull out for when i want to have sum fun? its an auto and ex cop car, have also been told these didn't get a traction control switch, only the manuals did.

It should have one. My series 1 SS does.

*EDIT* just saw its an ex police vehicle. Disregard what I just said!

it was for egnitevt. it may sound silly but when the car is on gas t/c will be turned off to prevent backfires.

On my Clubby the T/C automatically is on whenever I start the car even if is was off when I last turned the car off. I thought it was the same with all of them?

Yeah that's the same as mine.

I would assume if the option exists at all (to have the traction control, but to start up in the "off" condition) then it might be a BCM programming thing.

That being said, I am only assuming....

I have had the question asked though - it wouldn't be too difficult for me to design a small piece of add-on hardware to do this, without having to go to the dealer and ask about having BCM options changed. Any interest?? :D

(I'd go to the trouble if I can flog a few...) ;)

Cheerz!

I live on a dirt road and the first thing I do is hit that stupid T/C button when ever I get in the car. PITA
