Does anyone know how to tell if I have the Automatic or Turbo Hydra-Matic Tranny on a VH V8?

Ok dont worry about the complience plate it could have been changed, have a look on the gearbox at the identification plate. It should say KO on it for a 4.2L V8

Also the trimatics are a "Left hand control" so on the left side of the gbox there will be the shift levers attaching the floor change mech.

Also the V8 traumatic has a converter housing cover thatgoes from the back of the engine the full lenght of the bell housing.
The modulator pipe & oil filler pipe are on the right hand side (drivers side) of the gbox

I dont know much about the T350 but hopefully the traumatic info may help identify it.

cheers

All Auto 253s were backed by trimatics.
Turbos were only fitted behind 308s, and only up to the end of '81.
