trouble pairing with VY bluetooth kit

hi all,

i have just picked up my VY and it has a blue tooth hands free kit:

but i cant seem to get my phone to find it when searching. im guessing im doing something wrong.

anyone able to give me any pointers?

Turn the ignition on, and once the lights start flashing hold down Volume down and Hang up button until you hear a double tone from the speakers. Password is 1234

It's a **** kit.... I mean it dude. They were/are bad. But they work. Mic quality leaves a lot to be desired.

It also only has a small memory of three phones. So if thats been filled you will need to erase it.... might pay to do that anyway. Repeat the above process but when you get the double tones, keep holding the buttons until it plays a little tune (about 10 seconds later) then release.... should now accept your phone.

meh, **** kit or not it was in there when i bought the car, and i cant afford/be stuffed getting another one put in.

if it works ill use it. if it doesnt, ill probably keep using loudspeaker on the phone itself

yeah look it should work just fine. I used them a couple of times but then we found some others and started selling those instead. But for occasional use it should be good!

huh...your welcome for putting you on the right track to getting it sorted. A problem you had no clue how to fix.
