I know... It still looks like a city mum mobile!

We went for a bit of a drive today, ended up at Tuross Falls in the Badja National Park. The roads were fairly mild and it only left 2wd once. Here's a few pics, I'd upload more but ill have to put them on my compute first to reduce file size.

Not much at add, bought some genuine floor mats today and also bought the strut that stops the tail gate from swinging out into traffic. NFI why it was missing in the first place but fking thing cost 200 bucks!

Also put some white LEDs in the park lights tonight. They look much better. I've currently got all the interior LEDs on order as well as some for the reverse lights and some silver coated indicator bulbs just to make it look a bit cleaner.

Before (the pic turned out really dark for some reason)

After (much better!)

Hopefully it'll have a bar, lights and bash plate fitted at the 60K service.

Well I've solved one really fking annoying issue... the rattle behind the instrument cluster. Turns out there was a bloody bolt bouncing around behind there! It has now been returned to its correct spot and the rattle has gone.

First mods are on the way. I figured that because I'm doing a Saturday and Sunday at work that I should reward myself so I'm buying a Bushskinz intercooler guard. Pics as soon as its fitted.

You should reward yourself with a big #### off bullbar so it looks less soccer mum :p

$200 for a strut? Ouch!!! Congrats on finding the rattle without pulling the whole car apart lol.

Nice pick up. I've been eyeing them off as a family vehicle so we can get one of those pop up campers and do a bit of traveling, plus i can retire the SSV to the garage as my weekend toy and do something rediculously spastic to the motor.

Trust me, I'm stinging for that bull bar. I've told the missus that we're not taking it to her parents farm until it has a bar on it. For me it's an insurance policy especially with amount of roos on the roads at night. I'd rather damage a bull bar than cause serious front end damage. One of the guys I work with hit
a massive grey roo dead center in his Navara at 100Km/h and all it did was bend the bar. He reckons if he didn't have it the car would be a write-off.

Yeah man make sure you get a bull-bar ASAP!
I'd imagine it would lower your insurance premium too?

But yeah, they are awesome protection!

Not too sure about insurance, I'll have to check it out.

Here's a pic of the bar I'll more than likely end up getting.
