Why would you want a complete diff? It's like $450 to get the centre of the diff you have swapped out.

No cause not every shop charges same amount to build a diff.

We're talking just the centers. So we can compare.

I've driven a car with a spool, factory LSD's (cone, helical geared and viscous) KAAZ and TruTracs (which are forms of LSD).
The TruTrac was without a doubt the best of the bunch.
If the KAAZ was cheaper then a TT and it was for a dedicated circuit car, that would be the only time I would consider one.

I have a TruTrac and its hands down the best diff centre I have ever had. This is why.
LSD clutches ware and need replacement, TruTrac has gears no clutches no servicing required, lockers and a pain in the ass for a street car. Been there done that.
Best part about a TruTrac is you dont even know it there until you want it.

They're either on or off, no in between. Where I got my centre put in old mate had a gear box there that had been raped by the sudden jolting of the locker.
He used a lot of big words and talked about a lot of things that I don't understand - but he's a gearbox/diff guy so he would know what he's on about.
