Thanks LEX i thought there would have been a lot more sanding after the primer went on

I will finish off this section than i will move to the rear drivers side and fix those dents

Hopping to leave the rear left dog leg untill i can gain a little more knowledge on how to replace it

I'm not salvaging the two passenger doors and driver door just to much work they will need huge amounts of filler so just swapping them out

Picked up a bonnet a couple of days ago it has a little bit of filler but shes in good nick

I'm looking forward to the end result. What is the plan for the power house; 161, 186, 186X2 or 186S with the obligatory YT head, and extractors or are you thinking something with a bit more punch; 192/V6/V8? The old X2 was my favourite as it was easy to get - although a 192 with triple SU/CDs had some poke for a 6.

Not to sure yet a v8 253 would be nice but the disc brake front end will need to be sourced

I have a supercharger to go on the car if i can find the correct pulley and belt

A tight squeeze but definitely doable. Disk brake front end on the HR is almost a must those old drum systems were average to say the least. I replaced the king pin and drum setups on my two FCs with HR disc front ends - what a huge difference.

This is the other side rear quarter damage there are some high spots where i hammered the pannel inside to outside to much and have stretched the steel, my plan is to lightly hammer the highs back in than use filler

The lows are only around 3mm deep but there is a lot of bends all over the damaged area

I will start on this panel tomorrow using a 40 grit flap disc

Here is the drivers side with paint removed a bit hard to see the damage i have hammered most of it back into shape with what tools i have

Im about to use the electric stud dent puller but wondering if its actually worth it as the stud puller pulls "mini mountains" on the steel and creats high spots

I will take another look soon weather to use the machine or just start filling
