Turbo... But to get decent power your internals would need an upgrade.

Turbo
dont worry about internals just get a tune.

Ditch the 2 throttle body idea just run one ported single

turbos generate alot more heat and heat related problems to other components , turbo's will give better high speed running where as super charging will be more responsive of the line and thru the gear changes , all depends on what you wish to do with the engine , low comp's are required for turbo's and intercooling is a must for high boost use , twin throttle bodies arn't much use when using forced induction as the manifold is pressurized and not so reliant on airflow .
consider what you want your engine to do and intend use for the car

As above, No point having a TTB on any force inducted car, they are fed enough air with a stock TB.

You WILL need to replace internals if you plan on running hi boost on an engine and dont expect it to last if its got plenty of K's on it.

I tried to tell my mate this but he didn't listen and his engine lasted about 2 weeks then he replaced it and then the other engine went pop as well..
Sure, you can probably run it on low boost and be safe, but whats the point of bolting up a turbo if its only being used at 1/4 of its potential?

He just installed forged internals and its held up well but now his gearbox has had it.

The tune is a big one, they cost a **** load. Every car is different even if they are the same make and model so be prepared to pay from $800 to $1000 just for a Dyno tune.

If anyone tells you its less, well they either have no idea what they are on about or the tune they have is rubbish.

But Id always choose a turbo over a supercharger, its all personal preference really but I just find the neck snapping power range in a turbo car is more satisfying then any supercharger. (in respect to the engine its on that is)

With these lovely old V6s, they have rock solid bottom ends which last and last if you keep the oil to them and don't spend much time revving their titties off. The big let down is the heads which are 'slow' and heavy as heck.
My suggestion is to get a nice old grandpa motor, put some flowing after market heads on it, chip it, cam it, pipe it, dump it, look after it and give it hell.
My guess is alot of you guys on here are not quite old enuf to remember what a street full of cammed-up cars is like, but it fricking rocks.
And with fuel injection and engine management systems, they don't have to be so undrivable as a carb'ed beasty.

Ahhh, nothing quite beats the sound of a big hp, big cammed, n/a engine trying to shake itself apart at the lights. Brings back memories and a slight tear to my eye.

There is a guy on SC running 19 psi into a stock bottom end VR Buick engine. Been running fine like that for some time. It only blew a head gasket when the waste gate failed causing a boost spike. Delcowizzid has been working on a V6 powered VB commodore, again stock bottom end (VN s1 engine) V6 running 11.7sec 1/4 @ 121mph. The secret is in the tune combined with a good fuel system and running a ecotec oil pressure spring to ensure good oil pressure.

Cheers

In Adelaide I remember when Rundle street was often Rumble st on summer satdy nights, jeez it was good. Kingsy's, Escorts, Centuras, GTs even little Mazdas all going rump rump rump. Turbos are great but too quiet at idle.I've had older fellas tell me how when they were lads you could hear the supercruises coming from miles away!! Bit like a gaggle of goons on Harleys, but better sounding :))))))))))))
