I have an SV6 which I'm adding a Rear-Mount Turbo to, a bit similar to this.

The question is ECU tuning.

How friendly are these Commodores to adding turbo-charging ?

Will the standard ECU be able to accept a map up to about 6-psi ?

hey mate 6psi should be fine, i have heard on the forums they are hard to tune, but take that with a grain of salt. would also be curious to know fuel economy afterwards and power output and cost

Here is the car picked up yesterday.

It seems I'm the proud owner of a nice blue SV6.

Thanks for the reply. The turbo upgrade will be happening over the next month. I'll post when I know more.

In the meantime my dear SV6, prepare to be BOOSTED!

would be curious to know what the fuel economy is like before and after, and power figures pre and post

I'm just doing research on turboing my VZ exec alloytec. I'm curious as to why you would go the rear mount setup. Stealth plus not having to deal with 2 banks of cylinders would be reasons?

What size turbo is it? With nothing next to it to compare it looks tiny like a stock nissan turbo lol.

Would think you would need to upgrade your fuel system as well?

That's correct. It's a tiny Garret. Once I have things working I'll upgrade it to something else.

Yes, I'm planning to add extra Injectors and such if needed.

Lol full boost off idle. Looks like a 25 turbo if it is they spool at 2 on a 3l so should be all in at 1500 :p
