Between 32 to 36 psi. Higher pressures gives you better handling & fuel economy.

36 sounds good to me :) I run at least that on my 225's. Does all of the above plus makes your tires last longer

Hey Foam,

I'm running 40psi all 'round on my 225/50/16s Hankook K104 atm. Pretty good, but locks up easier in the wet. May go back down to 38 soon.

I read that alot of people run 40psi in 17 inch 45 and 40 series tires, but it's a bit radical for 225's 15 or 16's I reckon, I run 38 most of the time but, I'm a bit carefull with it in summer because when they get hot that could jump up alot and I don't want any front tire blowouts down the highway

Yeah, 40 is generally too high for the 16s. I put it up for a trip to Ballarat recently. I do that for most long freeway drives. Less flex in the sidewalls means less heat. If suspension is in good nick, then jumping shouldn't be a problem. I do carry a bit of a load in the rear most days, for work, but 40psi in an empty car is too high, just been too lazy to lower it.

Hey, thought I'm better off using someone else's thread than creating a new one, hope you don't mind ;)

Yesterday I pumped up all my tyres on my VP Berlina LX (series 2) to 32 PSI. It has standard everything (suspension, ride height, rims etc) and the tyres are 205/65/R15. Is 32 PSI what everyone else would use?

Thanks! :yeah:

I run the recommended max in my vp wagon of 34psi. I experimented with higher but it would scrub tyres really quickly. 34 is a nice balance between tyre wear and fuel economy. I handles sweet too. I know guys who run 30-32 psi and their vps handle like a bag of crap.
