hey guys.

A mate of mine has the same car; Vx spac.
When he unlocks it his lights turn on, he said the holden service department changed something on his computer.

my question is.. what else can be done? and is this true?

On Commodores with the speed alerts, if you hold down the two buttons to turn it on/off while starting it up you will have a digital speedo (Ive only tryed this on a VS) but when you turn the car off, it goes back to a speed alert. Ive been told that Holden can do something to make it permanently a digital speedo but its ireversible.

My mate shorted something out (probably the dash illumination wire) when installing his cd player and now his speed alert is permanently a digital speedo. The button's still change the speed alert setting and you can turn it off but you can't see what it is set at. The light doesn't flash when you exceed the speed but it still beeps!

in vr/vs its up and down while turning the key except for cars with trip computer where its up and set i think... in VT/VX its up and mode i do believe
