Anyways...
By putting in a higher octane fuel you are not going to get any more power or economy out of your car, UNLESS YOUR CAR IS TUNED FOR IT!.

Now that they're putting Ethanol and other crappy additives to boost oil company profits in regular unleaded I'm sticking to BP Ultimate, which doesn't have it.

Yes it will to some extent, but you won't get the power advantages from it.

I have to run a premium fuel or my car will ping as I'm running higher boost with the supercharger. I only use Mobile or BP for premium as Shell is crap.

Ciao ...

Precisely the TRUTH.

Standard comp ratio ECOTECs only need REGULAR Unleaded
Standard S/C (L67)with no boost upgrades are happy with PULP 95/96 RON
BOOSTED and modded S/C's (L67) must use PULP 98 RON

Ethanol is actually a GOOD addition to fuel. Makes the octane rating higher, burns cleaner and is better for the environment. It's in the only 100 Octane fuel available in Australia, Shell Optimax Extreme.

Never mind the fact it likes to eat metal's likes to kill rubber etc. It is also worse for the environment as more fuel is required to burn to do the same thing, ethanol is a much faster burning fuel....

People say you don't get power improvements, that is correct, however, you do get better power delivery. Premiums dont contain the solvents that slow the burn on unleaded fuels, cars WILL run better on a cleaner fuel.
