If venturing into a conventional large 4x4, you would be hard pressed to go past a Toyota Landcruiser. Having owned them before they are total animals. And Toyota’s are truly almost indestructible. Our family van is a 1997 HiAce Commuter with over 700k on the clock and it just goes and goes and goes.

settled on the ranger wildtrak. feels odd to own a blue oval in a sea of red. But the ranger drove the nicest, I like the tech pack, the accessory catalogue is enormous, and resale values seem to hold on well. the 3.5 towing is plenty for what we need. see how we feel in 12 months or so
