the v6 stroker per ecotech tuned properly will get 300hp at the tyres i was talking to two different companys about it because i have built a stroker and looking at getting it tuned that is with some good head work providing the rest of the combo is will matched.there is a speedway car here in townsville that has 308hp at the tyres and a vr up north with305hp at the tyres personaly if u want bigpower go stroker v8 with forced induction stroker kits for v8 are nearly half the price dont know about the quality tho

Compensating for a small penis with a large engine or one with a high power reading.

Oh, and motors, whether big or small don't make power, they produce torque which is converted to a power figure.

Power from an engine is basically a made up expression to equate the work that an engine can do to that of a horse. It was used to put an engines output in terms that people of the day could relate to. Over the course of time it was used to rate an engine as a selling tool. Even now there is nothing that can actually measure an engines output in terms of power, only torque. This figure is used in a mathematical equation to produce the "imaginary" power figure.

So a car with 700nm and 100kw is going to be faster than a car with 200nm and 300kw?

What I gather shyun is nm is an actual variable measured with factual science that can closely approximate the figure of torque, in contrast abba is signifying that power also kw hp etc is an approximation purely as a figure of what a one car can make at wheels on a machine known as a dyno not taking into effect aerodynamics, shape and factual weight, in the sence you possibly may have a greater variable weight at anyone one time e.g, more people.

None of them are approximations realy, theyre actual readings (although not necessarily accurate). Still theyre only peak figures that people quote. But at the end of the day the peak power means a hell of a lot more than the peak torque.

Torque is an actual reading, yes, because that is what is measured. KW or HP are only calculations based on the torque being measured at a specific RPM. The kW or HP figured quoted for an engine or vehicle are only calculations, they are not an actual measured figure. Just because a dyno prints it out doesn't make it real, just that the calculation is made by the dyno.

as the saying goes, Torque wins races, HP wins sales.

Torque is very important. you can build a engine that has a very good peak power but very poor torque curve or you could build a engine with a very broad torque curve and slightly lower peak power. i know which one will win the race :D

That saying is a big load. Power wins races. The PEAK torque figure at the engine is mostly meaningless in a race. The average power is what youre actually using, as you rev the engine above and below the peak power rpm. Having a wide torque curve/power curve just makes the average power output higher, which is what actually matters. The peak power is a fairly good indicator of the average power in acceleating as fast as possible.

Why is "power" so important? Do you have a little dick?

People are too obsessed with how much "power" their car makes....it doesn't make power, it produces torque, from which this mythical "power" figure is calculated.
Is'nt power is what a engine makes.Torque is how it is measured and a "power figure" such as horsepower is calculated from torque?
