Hi what sort of fuel consumption should I expect from a VF1 V6 Calais auto in city driving. Often short trips.

My VF1 SV6 3.6L averaged 10L/100km.

Short trip city driving it will be around 12-13 lt/100km.

Depends how short, if you're talking mostly ~5km trips with lights & traffic it's going to be more than that.

I used to have a VE SV6 SIDI and in Sydney peak hour commute (33 Km to work) about 30km/H average, fuel consumption read out seemed to be about 12.7 L/100Km, add short trips into the mix and I'd say not less than 13l/100Km.

Getting around 11.4 l/100km doing short trips around Adelaide (non peak hour) in my June 2014 Calais V. I try to drive smoothly. Best I've ever had is 6.7 l/100km one-way from Adelaide to Bendigo, sticking (mostly) to speed limits and probably wind-assisted.

Getting 11.5. Does include a small amount of motorway running to and from home. Avge speed showing 31 kmph. Hope that helps.

My series 1 Calais V ranged from 9.8 - 10.4. Mostly sitting on 10. My redline is currently sitting around 12.5 which is not much difference.

2017 VF2 3.6L Wagon. Daily drive, city and suburbs travel a min of 300k per week, occasional weekend trip. Average speed 43.7km/h and 9.9l/100k fuel. Best is 7l/100km. For a large car I reckon this is pretty good.
