V8 to V6 Conversion ?

Hi every one

I am saving some money to buy a 5 ltr V8Holden VN SS Commodore and im only 15 turning 16 soon. Now since i cant drive a V8 any were i wanna buy a V6 Commodore engine and use that until i get my full license. Now before i go buying a VN SS can i convert it to a v6 until i get my open license than put the V8 back in ?

the reason for trying to buy a VN SS is becouse thay are cheap, they got some power and i wanna project car so when i turn 18 i have a nice VN insted of waiting until i turn 18 and then spending time on it and i have lots of time to spend right now

You will need a V6 K frame, V6 gearbox, V6 computer and complete loom, V6 exhaust section etc. Can be done in a weekend if you're fast.

Can you legally drive a V8 when you turn 18 up in QLD?

If you're hell bent on having a VN SS, you could buy a cheap V6 VN/VP thats in decent nick, maintain it well but don't spend a cent on mods, save up for the VN SS at the same time, buy it when funds permit, then when you have your full license, sell off the V6 car or keep it as a daily.

Bizmark im sure you can i think once you have your opens you can drive a V8 im not to sure

and i might do what u said ill just buy a good V6 and save up for a Vn ss. or i might just save up $10.000 for a VN SS and i will use my mums old ED Falcon that she doesnt want. I have no hate against fords i think some of them are nice like a XB but it will suck driving a ford for 4 or 5 years. Na ill just use the ED for a wile and ill get a 6 cyl VN or maybe a VL than get a VN SS.
