Just done 3000km trip so I washed out my filter in warm soupy water, do I need to buy the k & n filter oil & apply it to the filter ?

Yes, if you dont use the oil you may aswell drive around with no air filter at all.

You may have cleaned it too early.
Mine looked very dirty in the grooves after around 9K but I just turned it upside down and tapped it on the floor to remove the big debris. Good as new!

Hi guys, so it's probably done around 5k all up now since buying it. I worked in a dusty dirt road for a few weeks then went away on holidays so it was built up with a lot of crap. Thanks DLFHUB666 after reading your message I went to bursons and bought the k & n recharge kit only $22. Thanks for the tutorial link capsual that helps.
