Hi;

Can anyone confirm for me whether the picture of my transmission (5L40E) is a deep or shallow pan?

The car is VE Calais V MY9.5

Surely they didn't do another 4L60E and have different pans on the 5 speed as well?
Does your owners manual state how much trans fluid is required for a service?

I'm not 100% sure, Supercheap lists a RYCO deep and shallow kit for the 5L40E when I enter my vehicle details!?
It doesn't mention fluid capacity in the service manual, just that it's Dex VI.
I can go into Bursons, I just thought someone here might know from looking.
Maybe there is only one type of pan?

And no dipstick either right?
All u could do is measure the depth with a tape or ruler and try to find the dimensions of both pans online and compare if they exist?

just for reference mine is filter kit rtk129

So either the listings on Ryco are incorrect, which I suspect as the genuine filter looks like the RTK 129.
