Mate, buy them and sell them.
I saw a well used set sell for well over 3K here and they needed painting.

totaly agree mate, but i am not taking her to the track. Just want and upgrade to stock. Stock is ok, just no confidence if i have to brake quickly. Pretty confident T3s on the front withs T2s on the back will alleviate my concerns
Try the pads first and see how you like them. You can get your rotors slotted and that won't cost too much provided they have enough meat on them. At least if you do upgrade to four pot callipers at a later date you won't be too much out of pocket.

I have a S2 6L Calais. Done the standard exhuast, tune, otr, 20’s, lowering etc. i have noticed she isnt particularly adept at stopping well with the oem rotors/brake. I was considering sourcing some
Redline Brembo calipers but the price is exorbitant. Its been suggested changing to DBA T2 ot T3 4000 rotors and high quality pads (HPX?) will transform it. A few video back this up. What are peoples thoughts? T2s good enough? Cheers
i brought DBA street series X gold, cross drilled and slotted, with heavy dutie DBA pads for my ss ve and it stops far far better now.!!
they do cost a bit tho, especially for the Brembo ve ss v, being a larger rotor_ about 800nz each

Sometimes a brake fluid flush and full bleed markedly improves braking...general comment

For sure, amazing how much moisture can build up. Next level a caliper reco also goes a long way. Back when I bought mine I thought the C5's were junk until after a new seal kit and slide pins. Chalk and cheese

Good quality pads will make more difference to stopping distance than the rotor type if you are not heating them up to track temperatures. But T3s and good pads will be a great combination.

The 4 Pot AP's are back up. Worth buying for $850?

It would depend on their condition. If the looks are anything to go by no.
