VE Clubby for $15 000

hey ive been offered a 2008 ve clubby 6spd manual with 160k on the clock for $15 000. the reason it is so cheap is that it was purchased as a statutory write off from NSW and is now unlicensed in Perth, WA. the bloke selling it is unaware as to why it was written off as the car is perfectly fine (dodgey???) he says that it cannot be licensed in WA as it was written off in NSW (maybe it was repaired in NSW as well?>) .
lets be serious what does that mean?? does anybody know the law regarding this??

A statutory write off can't be registered anywhere. Leave it alone. Sounds dodgey as.

As far as I know, it has to be registered in NSW again first before it can be registered in another state.

Stat wrote says it all, don't go near it, it's either hot or conpletely **** house, I had a repairable write off an they aren't the same as a car that hasn't been crashed
