How loud is the thud? Possibly the window regulator motor bolts are loose? Other members may have better information.

Maybe the drivers side window identifies as a VF....

Ours did that for a week or so before it broke.

dont you just hold it full down from full up until it stops and then keep holding for a few seconds to relearn
