VE Commodore rear speakers not working.

Hi all, long time reader first time poster so if im in the wrong section let us know.

So the other day I did a sub install on my sisters VE, LOC connected to rear speaker line, all went great, sounded good.
Then I changed to FM radio and the subs stopped working.
I was told the rear speakers never worked for radio only aux and cd, is this normal for VE's?
Can it be fixed? I really don't feel like getting behind there n resoldering the loc wires to front speakers.

My sub is connected to the rear speakers as well and works with every input, FM, aux, CD...
FWIW I managed to wedge some small spade connectors in the 16pin connectors at the back of the HU, which made install very easy, no splicing/soldering and it works very well.
