VE Commodore rhs bonnet shaking over bumps

Hi guys,
I have a 2007 ve lumina and my bonnet started rattling all of a sudden when I started going over
bumps. I thought it might of been the struts so I replaced both of them. checked if the bonnet bolts were tight,
and wound the bump rubbers a little down and still it rattles. I can c the bonnet moving up and down in the middle going over bumps. Any ideas? I’m stuffed if I know. Please help.

Are the rubbers still on the guards either side about 400mm up from end of guard that the bonnet closes on

Open it, remove the struts and check the hinges for play. Maybe the spot welds have come away.

Thanks guys, the rh strut top bush failed and the suspension strut was hitting the bonnet. It was only a year old. Time some better ones. Cheers for the replies.
