VE Commodore v6 coolant issues

Hi all, I have a VE 2009 V6 Ute. I am chasing a coolant leak which appeared in the left top corner of the water pump and some coolant was also in a hole just above that.
It is a treaded hole in the block, i am wondering if something goes in it. I suspected water pump so replaced and a few days later it appeared again. tried to insert pic
but won't work. cheers

Chances are it’s the coolant inlet manifold gasket. The coolant inlet is the metal part that the filler cap is on. It’s a cheap fix. It might be running down the front from there.

A photo would be handy.

Your pics are too big, you need to shrink them, then they will upload no problems at all.

If using Windows, Microsoft has a pic resizing app that shows when you right click on the context menu.
You can resize to small, medium or large, as well as custom sizes.

I email them to myself on my phone and select small.

I have a similar issue after having the water pump 'professionally' replaced. I also see a similar threaded hole. Is there a bolt missing or is this because the water pump is a different model?

It will be the river o rings between the filler neck and the block. Just above the water pump. Fairly easy job to replace and only cost about $25

Rubber O-rings. You buy them in a 2 pack, 1 is round and the other is kinda square. F#@King auto correct is bad today!
