What type of VE engine would that be?

Regardless, which ever engine your refering to, it would "fit" - but actually getting it mounted, wired and a gearbox behind it would be a huge project and take alot of cash.

Well an alloytec it probably marginally easier to do than an LS engine - but still huge amounts of work and cash needed for a transplant.

Many people convert to an LS1 5.7 V8 that started in the VT Series II and went to the VZ. The LS1 is the most common used V8 the Commodore series until the LS2 which was used in the VZ HSV range.

So the long and short of it is I can put a VE 3.6L auto engine in a 95 VS but it is going to cost $$$$$?

Heaps of $$$$ without mentioning engineering certs, mod plating and EPA regulations.

Long story short yes you could, but it wouldn't be worth putting a VE 3.6 in a VS the price would not be justified if your going to change the engine in a VS from the N/A Ecotec, go to L67 Supercharged, it is much cheaper and worth while conversion compared to other options.
