VE Headunit to play Mp3 file

Guys i need to clear something up. The normal (1 cd) headunit that comes standard on a Sv6 and SS can not play Mp3 CDs correct?

Can the 6 CD stacker unit play Mp3 CDs??

When i bought my car it said that it can play Mp3 (on carsales) but it couldn't and i got really pissed off.

Can someone just confirm for me that the 6cd stacker will be able to play burnt Mp3 (file) songs....

I have yet to collect my MY10 sv6, but I optioned up to the 6 stacker for that reason. As far as the salesman informed me, the single CD unit can not play mp3 except via an external player and the aux input.

The hollden website indicates this also:
Features - Commodore SV6 - Commodore Range - Vehicles - Holden. Go better.

I believe a six stacker unit you have mentioned is the one out of a Calais and does play MP3 CDs only not DVDs at the front when burning MP3 CD user program like Nero and create a jukebox MP3 CD some units are a little bit fussy with the menus drag-and-drop songs onto a disc will not always

I did not have to option up when I ordered my SS in March this year, it came standard with a 6 stack which is currently full of hours and hours of MP3's. It was my understanding the interior of the SS and SV6 are identical bar the logos ??

I have an SV6 with the 6 stacker and it plays MP3's fine, I recon the salesman probably got away with saying that because of the aux input.

yes the 6cd player plays them fine.... but some songs may not work tho due to the bit rate or the name being to long...gay **** like that can make sum players not like MP3s even when they specify they play them
