Hi.

I found a small amount of coolant weeping at the quick connect connectors on the heater hoses.

The area circled.

Can these connectors just be cut out and deleted and the hoses joined?
I thought maybe sleeve internally with some short lengths of copper tube and hose clamps on each end.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks.

This is an age old problem on VE. From memory they just replaced the joints & used standard hose clamps to fix mine. It wasn't expensive to fix either.

Yeah, a lot of mechanics replace them with brass hose joiners. These are a dumb design and always end up leaking.

Thanks for the replies.
Any idea of the internal diameter of the hoses?
Does 5/8" sound right? That way I can have the brass joiners and clamps ready when I cut the leaky fu*kers outs.
