Is it possible to remove the horn pad emblem from a 2011 VE Omega.

I have my reasons.

It is possible, but the chances of damaging the airbag module skin are very high...

I would only do this if you have a spare cheapy airbag handy, and are willing to face the possibility of destroying the airbag in the process of removing the badge..

One can hope you are not going to put a Chevy badge in it's place.

OK, ya got me, I want to put a Buick emblem in it's place. :surprise:

I have all the Buick emblems for the front, rear & wheel centres on the way from the USA.

Where on-line can you get the Pontiac pads/airbags, I did a search and could not find anything?

The reason for doing this is, I can never see where the front of the car is, so, on all my vehicles I normally fit a bonnet emblem for that make (there are no GMH/Holden ones). Like a Merc has.

With the hood emblem visible I have a better idea where I am at.

I bought a Buick hood/bonnet emblem and it will look weird if I don't change out all the other emblems.

I didn't know they made ones for pontiac.. and the one you linked is of a Buick...

but i know JHP Vehicle Enhancements in Melbourne i know they do "conversions" of stock Holdens to the Pontiac look, so i'm sure you could get the airbag cover from them.. i think you have to buy the whole airbag though.. if you're really wanting to change it, give them a buzz and see if they can accommodate you.

Their website is jhp (dot) com (dot) au

My error, I meant Buick, however, I don't mind having a Pontiac airbag emblem.

I will check out JHP, thanks.

Hi Oldsalt,

I think there is nothing wrong with changing the badges like you said :)

They did make an Airbag for the Buick (Park Avenue in China), Which is a locally (Chinese) assembled VE Caprice, with lots of local changes.

It would be hard to get the Airbag for that one (Would need to contact a Buick Dealer in China)...
The Park avenue has the baby pooh brown, and a dark interior (So they should have the dark coloured airbag)...

JHP, and other places are VERY expensive for Airbags (Around $400 mark)...
If you wanted a Pontiac badged airbag, you could try USA fleabay, and search for a Pontiac G8 airbag...
(Shipping will be a bit pricey doing it this way though)...

If you could get a cheapy local airbag, then try and take the badge carefully off, and see if it is possible.

Thank God for the person who invented the dremel.

I used the dremel to remove the raised lion bits and after sanding the surface of the old emblem it was ready for the new one.

The original emblem is still there with the new one securely glued to it.

Thanks Zerone for the support and assistance, much appreciated.
