I recently obtained VE Maloo seat frames. The driver's seat has one release lever while the passenger's has one on each side. Is this correct or am I missing a lever?

FYI, I am in the states and have never seen these seats

My E3 has one release lever per seat.

That's exactly what I expected to see. My passenger seat (left) has a lever on each rear corner. And my driver's has only one lever on the outer rear. I know these seats are from a VE but don't know the year or variant.

On my Maloo, and VE Redline ute, there isn't enough room between the seats and console for a second lever.
The Redline doesn't have a lever like the Maloo, it has a catch on the seat back up near the top.

I found a few pics and these seats have the levers as I described, the right has one on the outside corner and the left has one on each corner. I just don't know what year(s) these seats came from..

That will be to tilt the seats to get behind them.

The dual control on the passenger is so the driver can move the back of the seat forward without going around to the other side.

I was trying to think of a reason for the dual lever pass seat and that is exactly what I thought of. So thank you for confirming that. It's ingenious.

Just checked my (garage queen) Maloo, the passenger seat (LH) does have dual levers.

Yeah. You use the inward lever to access behind the seat. Stash your jumper or bag of mull behind there for later.

Mainly to access the battery.
