Guys i changed the steering wheel today in my VE Omega all went good disconnected the battery and all that, but then noticed that my IQ system screen is blank, fuel gauge not working and Tacho not working any ideas as to what could be the problem.

Before you ask i have upgraded my series 1 to the IQ system this was completed by JHP.

Have a look in the how to section I have a few videos up on how to take the interior apart. Why you will have to do is take off the bottom panel on the drivers side and remove the side trims. Unplug all cables to the iq and plug them back in. It should restart the iq system. Not sure about the gauges or why this happened for that matter.

I hope this works for you.

My guess is you either have a Police Spec interior light and have pressed the 'stealth mode' switch, or your upgrade has enabled this function somehow.

BTW anyone know where I can get one of these Light assemblies in light grey?

Near where the headlight switch is, there is two buttons for changing the brightness of the dash board lights. If you hold them both in for 2 seconds or so, it turns the tachometer and lights off.
Try holding them in again to switch back on.

Just a thought...

You only need to press either one of the buttons to get the lights back on, not both.

Tell us, the lighting in the steering wheel buttons and the console buttons (window buttons etc) are they still lit up or are they out too?
